Interesting Tradition-1

There is an interesting tradition in Taiwan. When we get cats from others, we present the owner sugar as gift.
Some place present salt to the owner. Because ‘salt’ reads like ‘the chance to get together’ in Taiwan. It means we can get together with cats as long as possible.
This was the gift I gave the owner of Mr. MOQ before. I thought they are cute and useful.

有趣的聘貓禮
上星期在「心岱貓推理」看到作家心岱寫的〈聘貓知多少？〉（網址http://blog.sina.com.tw/mao/article.php?pbgid=24992&entryid=161145），覺得十分有趣。
裡面提到台灣人跟人家要貓咪回來養的時候，會帶糖當禮物送給對方。有些地方則送鹽，因為「鹽」、「緣」同音。
　　小時候聽媽媽說過養貓養狗要送原主人一包糖。但我覺得送糖好像太老土了，所以領養腳丫子的時候，我買了如照片中的貓咪瓷筷架當禮物。這筷架一組共有五隻，隻隻顏色、表情、動作各不相同。除了買一組送人，又零買了這一隻自己留著。
